How the iPhone Brought Huge Smiles to Orphans With HIV

HIV Orphanage Clinic
Hanoi, Vietnam
I just recently posted about a favorite smartphone app of mine for Toddlers - "Elmo Calls."  I thought that I should share a few fun pictures that I took when I visited an HIV Orphanage Clinic when I was in Hanoi, Vietnam last month. (My graduate class volunteered at the orphanage and rounded up donations as part of our residency for my MBA Program.)  Anyways, the little girls at the clinic LOVED the 'Elmo Calls' app......their "Face Time" with Elmo brought huge smiles to their faces.  Elmo was a huge hit.  The little girls were jumping all over me for more.

I took a few screen shots of them with the Elmo App.  If you look it the bottom  left-hand corner of the pictures (below), you can see the little girls' reaction as they watch Elmo on my iPhone screen.  They're so cute.

These little girls were so much fun.   I think all of the kids at the clinic there every day.  I'm rounding up more donations to send over to them at the end of the month.  Among other things, I plan to send over a few of the Leachco. Newborn Podsters (another favorite baby gear item of mine) to the Clinic for the the newborn unit.  I think they could use them.
